Activity in pairs.

Question words

Introduction
This question words activity can be used to help students practice
question words and personal information questions.

Procedure
Divide the students into pairs (A and B)

Give each student a corresponding worksheet.

Working alone, students use question words in a box to complete


a set of 12 personal information questions.

Students are allowed to use each question word once.

Students then take it in turns to ask the questions to their


partner.

Students note down their partner's answers and ask 'Wh' follow-
up questions to gain more information.

When everyone has finished, ask the students to give feedback


to
the class on what they found out about their partner.

Any interesting findings can be discussed in more detail.

12. How much coffee do you drink a day? A day I drink between three or two cups of coffee
