- Chapter 1: How to Use DLU Setting Tool

DLU Setting Tool is the configuration software to transfer the fixed settings to the DLU.

The setting for logging the integral power (instantaneous value and difference value) hourly is
automatically generated only by checking the station numbes of eco-power meters to be used.
Any other settings cannot be specified with this software.
Use a web browser to specify other settings.

- Chapter 2: Setting Method Using Web Browser

A web browser is used to make the settings for the DLU.
(All the settings can be specified.)

This chapter describes the method to log the amount of power of eco-power meters.

Note) Only Internet Explorer (Ver. 6 or later) can be used for the web browser.

Chapter 1
How to Use DLU Setting Tool
1.1 DLU Setting Tool Software
Overview
DLU Setting Tool software enables to create the setting data for the DLU automatically by only
specifying the station number (address number) of eco-power meters (or multi-circuit power checker,
multi-circuit energy monitor) to be used.
Once transferring this setting data to the DLU and changing to the operation mode, the DLU will perform
data sampling for the specified station number and create the logging file in the CF card.

Logging files (csv format) are generated in the following conditions.

File Fina No. of
Data type Logging cycle Timing of update
No. name generations
Instantaneous value of
1 syunji Every one hour At 0 am every day 60
integral power
Difference value of
2 sabun Every one hour At 0 am every day 60
integral power

Note:
- This software supports DLU Version 2.4 or later. Note that it cannot be used with Version 2.3 or older.
- The above settings are fixed in this software.
- Although the setting is transferred, the IP address of DLU does not change.
To change the setting, open the setting screen of the DLU unit with the web browser (IE).
- This software does not have a function to read out the set contents after saving them. Therefore, leave
notes such as writing down the set contents separately.

Installation
Execute “dlust_v100.exe” to install the DLU Setting Tool software.

1-2
1.1.1 Starting DLU Setting Tool Software
Double-click "Dst.exe" in the installed foler to start the DLU setting tool software.
The following screen is displayed.

1.1.2 Procedure
1. Check the unit numbers of the devices to be connected to the DLU.
(The default is set to use an eco-power meter.)

Note:
- If the number of selected circuits exceeds the registerable number (250) when clicking the OK button,
an error message will appear, and the dialog cannot be closed.

2. Specify the IP address of the DLU to transfer setting data. (Default: 192.168.1.5)

3. Click “Transfer Settings” button.

Once the transfer successfully completes, a message “Transfer has been completed” is displayed.

Note:
- Data cannot be transferred when DLU is in RUN mode. Change the mode to STOP mode to transfer
data.
- The clock data in a PC is transferred to the DLU at the same time of setting.
- When transferring the setting, the DLU setting data (dataDstKW.wdl) is generaged in the folder where
this setting tool software has been installed.
- If settings exist in the DLU, note that the settings other than the IP address are all cleared and replaced
with a new setting data.

1-3
1.1.3 Example of Setting
This example shows the setting with the DLU setting tool software on the following system.

[Procedure]
1. Check the station numbers to be used (1 to 3).

Note) If the number of selected circuits exceeds the registerable number (250) when clicking the OK
button, an error message will appear, and the dialog cannot be closed.

2. Specify the IP address of the DLU to transfer setting data, and click “Transfer Settings” button.

2.2 Preparation
- Connect the DLU and a PC with an Ethernet cable.
- Set the IP address of the PC to “192.168.1.*”. (except 192.168.1.5)
- Confirm that the switch of the DLU is at the “STOP” position and the “MODE” LED is flashing.
