These module tackles about Movement Exercises composed of non-Locomotor
and Locomotor movements. Non-Locomotor Movements can be defined as movements that occur in the body parts or using the whole body but do not cause the body to travel to another space but still has the same objective as developing the body on specific areas based on the type of movement used .Examples of movement exercises that use non-Locomotor movements are hinge, lunge, push and pull, squat and twist. The body remains in place and moves around its horizontal or vertical axis. Other examples of Non-locomotor skills include stretching, bending, pulling, pushing, swaying, twisting, log rolling and balancing. On the other hand, Locomotor Movements are movements where the body travels through space from one location to another. Locomotor movements’ primarity use the feet for support however, the body can travel on other parts such as the hands and feet. Walk - The walk is a transfer of weight from one foot to the other. Locomotor Movements are also used in the training program of athletes and those who engage in physical activities in order to develop their skeletal muscles. The examples movement exercises of Locomotor movements are Creep and Crawl, Jumping and Landing Series, Linear Movements and Lateral Movements.
