I spend my leisure time by reading story books, gardening and collecting stamps.

Reading story books

is my favorite leisure time activity. I have a lot of story books and other books too. The set of books of
magical craft fairies is my favorite book series. My father, mother and grandmother give me books as gifts
for my birthday, New Year and when I get high marks at term tests.
Gardening is an interesting leisure time activity. Also, it is one way to earn an extra income
for our family. We get vegetables and fruits for our meals from my little garden. I water the
plants every evening. Father and mother also help me with gardening.
Collecting stamps is an activity which provides knowledge of the world. I have three albums
of Sri Lankan stamps and foreign stamps from China and Japan. Father and mother give
me stamps whenever they get them.
I get pleasure by engaging in leisure time activities. I have extra leisure time activities such
as making key tags and sewing cross stitch designs. These things keep me happy in my
free time.

Technical Education Essay with quotes for Class 10, Class 12 and Graduation

“Science is a key which unlocks for mankind a store of nature.”

In the present day of keen competition and hard struggle, general education is
found to be sadly insufficient to procure for the man his livelihood. The number
of men with general education is legion and all the various departments where
these men can be provided are literally packed. The unemployment problem is
growing keener and keener every day and unrest and discontent are daily
gaining ground.

Technical education means teaching students and others some practical or

mechanical art. It includes training in trade, commerce, carpentry, weaving,
agriculture, medicines and engineering. It helps to meet the needs of today’s
world of machines. Those who get such education become technical experts or
technicians.

Technical education plays a very pivotal role in the modern age. It produces
engineers, builders, doctors and technicians. It promotes the material and
economic advancement. People begin to have faith in the dignity of labour. We
can save a lot of foreign exchange if we have our own technical experts.

“Man lover to wonder and that is the seed of science.”

Technical education is lacking in Pakistan. Our schools and colleges produce
men who are fit only to be clerks. Our youth hankers after office jobs. They
dislike to work in factories and hate to learn practical skills. This is why
unemployment is on the rise in the country. Poverty in Pakistan is due to the
neglect of technical education. Our country is rich in raw material resources, but
we cannot enjoy the advantages only because we are not equipped with any
technical knowledge.

“Science is nothing but trained and organized common sense.”

The abundance of production is required to suffice the needs of growing
population. Fertilizers, insecticides, pesticides and mechanized farming are quite
common and widespread. Sufficiency is the need of the hour, but all these
tactics have ruined purity and worth of natural things. Lands are cultivated and
they fall to produce the required quantity because of incessant cultivation. The
use of these substances for a long time has proved damaging.

Visit to a Historical Place Essay with Quotations for 2nd Year Students

Historical events, distinct works of genius, wondrous achievements, admirable

accomplishments and the cultivation of human art collectively constitute the
culture of a nation. Pakistani culture, though replete with all these distinctive
dualities, is remarkably exceptional for its brilliant historical heritage. The most
startling and spectacular characteristic of our culture is the enviable
presentation of the Muslim Architecture. The historical places in Pakistan are a
prominent emblem of the Muslim Culture.
Last summer, my friends and I sketched out a programme to visit the historical
places of Lahore. As we were to set forth from Multan in the scorching heat of
summer, we decided to travel by an air-conditioned bus. We packed our
luggage, hurried with hysterical haste to the bus station, got on the Bus eagerly
at about 10 am and reached Lahore in the twilight. We rented a well-furnished
room in a hotel and after a superbly delicious dinner, we enjoyed a deep sleep.
Next dawn, we got up with much gusto. We decided to visit the tomb of
Jahangir. Straightaway we were ready to start off. In a hired taxi, we reached
the elegant tomb in half an hour. The four magnificent minarets of the tomb
presented an exquisite view. A high wall and an elegantly decorated big gate
guarded the mausoleum of the great emperor. The tomb occupies the heart of a
fragrant park. The park was aromatically studded with colourful buds .and
blooming flowers. The flowers “fluttering land dancing in the breeze” presented
a spectacular sight. The fruit trees were blossoming. Birds perched on the twigs
and boughs were twittering. Impressed by the “soft incense hanging upon the
bough” and “many incense-bearing trees” I began to sing the beautiful verses of
Keats:

“Ah, happy, happy boughs that cannot shed

Your leaves, nor ever bid the spring adieu”
In front of the grand tomb, a lovely fountain was sprinkling its light shower. The
drizzling of hoary drops of the fountain was producing the resonance of ultimate
excellence.

Soon afterwards, we entered the majestic edifice of Mughal Art containing the
sepulchre of the emperor. What a life of luxury and opulence he had enjoyed;
but now he was lying desolate and deserted in the sheer calm of infinity.

“Oh, threats of Hell and Hopes of paradise!

One thing at least is certain-This Life flies:
One thing is certain and the rest is Lies:
The flower that once has blown for ever dies”
The walls of the room were adorned with oral and mosaic design. There were
curious colourful patterns signifying the mystery of death. We offered “Fateha”
and prayed to God to be Merciful and Beneficent to the departed soul. As a
whole, the building is a marvellous specimen of Muslim architecture, unique and
matchless in its beauty and structure.

We came up to the terrace and had a view of Lahore from there. It was a
startling sight. The cool breeze, a canopy of silvery clouds over our heads and
the prevailing aroma of the blooming flowers made the panorama charismatic
that it had a lasting impact on our memory. We spent the rest of our time in
eating the meal, drinking tea and making some of the sketches of the floral
designs we had just observed in the vest chamber of the tomb. When the
brightness of the day faded into the descending dusk, we hesitatingly headed
home. Our minds were full of solemn thoughts, We were pondering over the
mystery of death. We all agreed with Shakespeare:

“In Nature’s infinite book of secrecy

A little I can read

Mother
My mother is the most important person in my life. She is an inspiration to
everything I do. I would not call her a friend, but she is an extraordinary
person. She has been in my life since I was born and she will always be in my
life no matter what happens. She is the one who has suffered to bring me into
this world. I have learnt to love her from the day I was born.
My mother was the first person to teach me to draw and walk, and she was
with me when I took my first step ever! She has taught me to believe in people
and not to have grudges against one another. She always encouraged me to
go along when I was ready to give up. She makes sure that I was safe and
happy throughout my childhood. It is the unconditional love that my mother
feels that drives these feelings.
It is hard to describe the feeling that a mother has towards her children.
Mothers give an awful lot of support to their children, whether it involves very
visible support or simple background encouragement. Not only do mothers
support their children, but they also often hold the whole family structure
together. When all is well, a mother puts her children before anything else,
including their own comfort and happiness. Describing a mother's love is
virtually impossible. It is a feeling that can only truly be understood by those
that experience it. Famous saying states that "God could not be everywhere
and so he invented mothers"!

An Evening Walk
The daily walk was excellent exercises. They refresh our mind as well as
soul. A morning walk and an evening walk have their own charms and
importance.

I go for a walk around 7 o’clock in the evening. My mother accompanies

me. Both of us enjoy this walk.

In the evening the streets and roads are quite congested due to the rush of
traffic. So we go to a park which is nearby to our house.

There I meet my friends and play with them. The people of all ages come in
the evening for walks. The old men form a group and discuss their matters.

After we finish playing with our friends, we sit on the grass arid relax. It is a
very beautiful sight. The birds are also fling back to their nests in a group.

A evening walk is the best tonic for the aged and ailing person. It is a
permanent cure for many ailments. This is the walk which I enjoy the most.

An Exciting Match
Last month, a very exciting cricket match was played between the cricket
first eleven of our school and that of the Govt. Hr. Sec. school, Bella Road.
It was to become at kot6la ferozeshah grounds. The winning team was to
become the champion of the zone. Quite a number of boys of both the
schools turned up to applaud the players and see the match.

The team of our school was captained by Arjun Dass of Xth C and that of
Bella Road School by Ramesh of 10 th A. Shri B.N. Vats of Modern School
won the toss and decided to bat. Surindra Bajaj and Mohan Bhatia were
our opening batsmen. They were expected to give a good start to the team.
The first fifteen were made during this person, 2 by Bajaj and I by Bhatia.
The Bravo! Bajaj hit two fours one after the other and so did Bhatia in the
next over. Bhatia was out at 23. Manoj of Xth B joined Bajaj. It was a pair
known for bright cricket. Manoj proved the truth of the common belief by
hitting six  and three fours in two over’s and return to the Pazvilion afgter
making 24 runs in fifteen minutes. Then our Captain went to bat. He played
the first over patiently without making any run; however, Bajaj had a free
mood. As he tried to hit a late cup from Mohinder, the bowler of the
opposite team he gave an easy catch to the wicket keeper. As he returned
to Pavilion after making 30 bright runs, there was loud clapping. Our
captain and the next batsman were expected to take a good score, but
unfortunately a goodly from Raman put an end to our Captain’s innings,
when he was at 15. The tall enders could not do well. Our team was out at
a score of 120 runs. 5 minutes after lunch. Though not respectable the
score was tolerable.

Now our bowlers were required to shoulder the responsibility of restraining

the batsmen of the opposite team from outgoing our score. We had two
very good spinners Ball and Malhotra on our side. Much depended on
them. Our captain set aggressive team. Both were stylish batsmen knowing
well which ball to hit and which ball to leave to itself. They raised their score
by hitting looked to be well set a swinger from abalii forced jaidev to return
ball. Mohan of their ream came at No. 3, but he was clean bowled before
he had opened his score. Then came their Captain. Bhuishan, their No. I
and the Captain were with the bat for a pretty long time adding 40 runs to
the score in as many minutes. When we going to lose to match? No, the
tides turned in our favour unexpectedly. Four wickets of the opposite team
went down one after another in quick succession for a total of 11 runs
before deadly spell of our bowlers Bali and Malhotra . The tail enders of the
opposite team added only 12 runs and the whole team of the opponents
was out for 93 and we won by 27 runs. Three cheers for the winners! Three
cheers for the losers also!

The use of unfair means in examinations has been on the increase through the
government has taken some positive steps, especially in the big cities, to check corruption.
We have more cases of unfair means each passing year in our Board and University
examinations.

The reasons for corruption in examinations are many:

First of all, we find corruption in all parts of our society, Dishonesty, and cheating are as
common today as honesty was in olden times. Some people rightly say that we should bring
all corruption in society to an end. Only then can corruption in examinations be got rid of.
However, there will have to be a revolution, a complete change in our thinking and action, to
bring all this about.

Secondly, most of our students cannot buy suitable books or study in first-rate educational
institutions. Their economic condition does not allow them to progress properly in studies.
They cannot make adequate (enough) preparations for their examinations. Quite a few of
them, then, try to make use of unfair means.

Thirdly, those who hold or conduct examinations are also responsible for corruption in
examination centers. Invigilators, superintendents, and others working for as long as eight
hours a day cannot earn what an expert mechanic gets for an hour of work. Able teachers
and government officers at first do not like to perform the examination work. Some of them,
who do come forward, begin accepting bribes from candidates to make quick money.

The ladder of corruption in examinations is very high. It very strangely goes underground,
too, when answer books are smuggled out of examination centres and offices for
candidates to write answers. Some corrupt examiners provide such facilities of copying or
accept bribes to award undeserved marks or are influenced by recommendations. At times,
copying through mobile phones is facilitated.

It is at least necessary to provide high-quality education to our students. There should be

able and efficient teachers and proper and enough libraries for them. Special libraries and
teaching and training centres should be provided to private candidates who cannot attend
regular educational institutions.

Those who can afford should not provide luxuries like Internet pleasurable programmes, CD
and DVD players, and expensive vehicles to children. TV viewing should especially be
restricted. If our students become really able and wise, corruption in examinations will
largely end. The need of the hour is action in the right direction
