USER MANUAL – HEP Program Addition

1. Getting Started
Higher Education Portal (HEP) is an easy to use and user-friendly web-based portal.
This user manual explains the usage of web portal in a clear and concise manner.

Support Mechanism
In case of any support regarding College Information System, please send an email at
“support@hed.punjab.gov.pk” or contact us at our helpline 042-111-112-020. Mention
specific issue in the subject line of the email and describe the problem in the body of the
email, copy concerned officials in the same email.

2. Web Portal
2.1 Logging In
The HEP portal is accessible at https://hep.punjab.gov.pk/user/login/. Colleges have to
login by entering the college CMIS code as username and the previously set password.
After entering the username and password click on Submit button.

2.2 Get Password


When logging in for the first time, please click on Forgot Password and after entering
the CMIS code as username, press Submit. A link to reset password will be sent to the
registered email address.

Note: If the link to reset password is not received at the registered email address
please send an email at support@hed.punjab.gov.pk.
2.3 Adding Programs
After successful login, place the cursor over the Institute Information and click on View
Programs sub-option.

A webpage listing all the programs added by the college will be opened.

To add a program, click on the Add Program button.

After filling in all the fields, click on the Add button. When the details of all the programs
have been added, click on the Submit button.

2.4 Deleting Program


To delete a program, the college has to send a request email on the support email
(support@hed.punjab.gov.pk).
