Barangay Tamisu
Barangay Tamisu is located at the North East of Bais city, towards the sugar mill and refinery plant
URSUMCO. It is a mix of suburban and rural areas. Most of the households are located along the main highway.
Furthermore, the least of the households are located off-road from the main highway.

Two acres of the open area will be a site to construct a mini solar power plant. In the open area, the field is
surrounded by different kinds of households. After constructing the mini power plant, only ten residents will be
selected to receive power electricity from the solar power plant before upgrading or adding more solar panels in
the future.

Polycrystalline Solar Panel
Referred to as “multi-crystalline” silicon. Simple manufacturing process, it cost less, and it tends to have
a lower hear tolerance. The lifespan of the solar panel is about 25 to 30 years.

Polycrystalline solar panels can power up the household with four solar panels (1 kW) by covering the surface
area of 7-10m2. For this propose project, only forty solar panels (100 m2 area covered by solar panels) will be
constructed in the making of the power plant.

[ 1 Household =4 Solar Panels=1 kW =10 m2 ]

Hybrid Solar Power System

The hybrid solar system is a grid-connected solar system with backup battery storage to store excess
power. The sun’s energy absorbed by the solar panels goes through the inverter to create usable electricity. From
there, the electricity either goes to the household, to the battery storage, or the utility grid.
