C. Short Essay (20 points).  In one full paragraph,

answer the question below.

Warning again:  Do not plagiarize.  Do not copy from

the internet or elsewhere, whole or part nor ask

somebody to answer for you. The source is you and

you only.  Below your answer, write NOTE: . Here,

explain how you answered the question. Certify that

you did not plagiarize in any way.

NOTE: I solved this Pre – Final Exam/Quiz using my

knowledge, which I obtained by reading the

Handouts such as Biodiversity, GMOs, and the

Healthy Society, among others. I read and

comprehended the handouts. When I am unsure

about the meaning of specific terms, I do a search. I

learned about malnutrition, undernutrition,

micronutrient malnutrition, obesity, and corny trivia.

I evaluate and familiarize myself with each question

that I read. I read it three times before responding so

that I don't misunderstand it. If I forget the answer

but am acquainted with the questions, I go back to

the Handouts and look it up.

I am convinced that I do not plagiarize my answers

on the internet since I know that I answer it myself

using the Handouts that were uploaded on elms. This

handout was quite helpful in answering all of the

questions.
Question:  After reading Module 8, Reading 5 and

'Reading 6, would you consume GM foods? Why?

Your answer should reflect that you actually read

Readings 5 and 6.

- Yes because there is no proof that a crop is unsafe

to eat just because it is genetically modified. There

may be hazards linked with the exact new gene

added, which is why each crop with a new trait

introduced by GM is closely monitored. Since the

initial extensive commercialization of GM crops 18

years ago, there has been no indication of adverse

consequences associated with the ingestion of any

authorized GM crop and eating GM food has no effect

on my genes since most of the food we consume

contains genes, however in cooked or processed

meals, most of the DNA has been damaged or

degraded, and the genes have been fragmented.
