<Good morning ladies and gentlemen

I am happy to see so many colleagues have chosen to take part in our conference
I want to thank the owner of the building for hosting us and all the staff who made this event
possible
I am going to show you a little overview of our company then I will pass to the key theme of this
meeting wich is the mission statement of our company.
Sit comfortly and the staff will distribute to you paper and pen in oder to take some notes. We will
start in five minutes, when lights will be off.>
<Our company is very young, as you know, it has existed for less than 5 years and it is the italian
branch of an important swiss mutinational company which is a distributor of optic fiber cables .
The branch was built in northern Italy due to the the huge amount of telecomunication firms and
other kind of enterprises whose job requires a strong and stable Internet connection for phone
comunication and TV programs.
We gained the first billion euros in 2018 and this money allowed us to change our net of cables in
brass with modern ones in optic fiber but we achieved only in the main city centre.
Another memorable conquest is the shift from FTTC 1 to FTTH2 which reduced the dysfunction of
the service due to the bad wheater and to the distance between the eletric substation to the
client’s habitation.
We have two objectives at the moment for the future.
The first one is to become a ISP which is the acronim for provider of satellite internet in order to
reach the location where ADL couldn’t.
The second one is to expand the area of reference by winning competitors.
The value behind our mission statement, which is to link and keep in contact the habitants of the
whole planet in an ecological manner by using the optical fiber which is produced with a low
environmental impact, is sharing and solidarity.
In this digital life it is very important to be constantly connected but it is possible only if you have a
reliable connection. Our company ensures clients that they never will feel disconnected and
abandoned .
If you have an emergency you can bet that your company will be there to help you .
In coronatime, our role is more crucial than ever, soon the whole world will be online and we will
be there to meet their requirements.
On the other hand, in routine life you can spend your time relaxing and not solving connection
problems.
While we are taking care for our clients we also help the nature by using a sustainable material
even if it is more expensive.
Optic fiber isn’t only a green fashion for our company but it is an investment in our future, how
scientists love saying it is an “innovation future-proof”.
The cost of fiber is worth the better performance and the safeguard of nature.

<How would you finance the satellite project? by firing employees like the last time?>
<In this case It is being considered a partnership with another firm whose name is secret for now.>
< I work in the customer service and I have received a lot of complaints because the clients had
had neither internet connection and nor telephone line for hours. How can I ensure a reliable
connection if they couldn’t phone me to arise the problem?>
<I think that this kind of problems should never happen thanks to fiber, I am not a technician I
can’t image neither the causes, in next days please come in my office and we will find out on it. In
the meanwhile if you receive other similar complaints, take time and say them that it is a common
problem in this period and that also other operators have it. >

FTTC is an acronym for Fiber To The Cabinet which means that the cables from the central to the
cabinet are made up with optic fiber on the other hand the cables from the canibet to the the
house of the clients is made with brass. In this case we have a mixed connection, it has a good
speed but its quality reduces when it rains or when the client’s house is very far from the cabinet

FTTH means Fiber To The Home and it is a connection with pure fiber indeed all cables are made
up with optic fiber, also those from the service entrance to the habitation. In this case the
connection is excellent even if it rains or the house is far and you can download a file in few
minutes.
