Title: Small but terrible

The world is suffering from COVID19 who kill millions of people around the world. Most of the
countries around the globe is being lockdown due to Covid19 threat. Millions of families were
affected, most of the businesses were shutdowns, and the production of goods was temporarily
stop. Everyone experience what poverty feels like. A 10 years old kid named Xyler Ynieco
Busano said, "Lola, we should buy foods even if we already have foods. Cause time will come
that there is no poor and rich anymore. We will be equal in status. What can you do with your
money if there's no food anymore, eventually it will lead us to death."
He realizes things because he observed what really happening outside in our home. We must
eliminate poverty in very way we can.

In the Philippines, poverty is the most common situation struggled by every filipinos or even in
the other countries. People are being categorized by how the society develop a barrier between
rich and poor. In other words, you are being classified according to your social status the "
have" and " have not". Unemployment rate is one of the hindrance in economic growth and it
might lead us to "poverty".  As poverty in the Philippines continue to worsen, the people,
mostly in the state of poverty, experiences consequences. Like Health problems, lack of
opportunities, no jobs and the most important—the education of filipino youth.

Philippines has three stratification of social status the upper class, middle class, and lower class.
Many believe that 8 out of 10 filipinos belong to lower class and it means Philippines
experiencing scarcity in everyday life. We are in a thin line were we can hardly decide if we will
grip hard or just give up. Many are being affected, especially our economy.  The OFW who are
one of the biggest contributor to our economy is also affected.

The structure of society affects to a person's social standing in every angle and that is very
common in the society we lived in. We believe that in order to open our eyes and see the
problems to our society, we can be those individuals who can contribute in this society even if
we are in a lower class, social equalities must be visible. Everyone should fight together in this
battle.
As poverty arises amidst this pandemic, we should help each other regardless to the social
status. "Poverty is the hindrance of everything" and that is the reality. No matter how you say "
poverty is not the hindrance of success" you cannot justify it by words losing' to its action. This
virus that we are fighting and the poverty that we are facing is small but terrible, very terrible
opponent.
