NOTIFICATION
In exercise of powers under Epidemic Diseases Control Act, 1958 and in
compliance to the decisions of National Command Operation Center (NCOC)
Islamabad communicated vide letter No 801/A/Ncoc-01, dated 29th April 2021 & to
curtail disease spread via reducing mobility the following NPIs will be implemented in
the teritorial jurisdiction of Islamabad from 8th May to 16th May, 2021:
a. Commercial Activities/Businesses: AlI markets (marakiz, malls etc)
commercial activities, businesses and shops will remain closed except essential
services defined as follows:

Particulars
All Medical Services & Pharmacies IMedical Stores, Medical Facilities and
Vaccination Centers, Grocery Stores, Vegetable, Fruit, Chicken & Meat
Shops, Bakeries, Petrol Pumps, Food Takeaways and E Commerce (Home
delivery). Utlity Services (IESCO, SNGPL,
Sanitation/EnvironmentWater/DMA etc Directorate of CDA&MCI) Internet
&Cellular Networks/Telecom, Call Centers) and Media.

b. Ban on Chand Raat Bazaars: All bazars on chand raat will be closed including
mehndi, Jewelry/ ornaments and clothing stalls etc.
C. Closure of Tourist Spots: All tourist spots, picnic points (both formal &

informal), tourist resorts and hotels/restaurants in / around tourist spots will be

closed as well. These tourist spots / parks include but are not limited to Lake

View Point, Faisal Mosque, Pakistan Monument, Murree Point, Peer Sohawa,

Shrines, F-9 Park, Jasmine Garden, Damn-e-Koh, Rawal Dam, Shahdra Hill

Station, Trails ( for picnic purposes), Shakar Parian, and Lok Virsa Center. Travel

nodes leading to tourist spots/picnic areas, tourist destinations like Murree,


Galiat, Northern areas will be dosed. All public parks, shopping malls etc, will

also remain closed.

d. Ban on Transport: Al kinds of inter-provincial, inter-city and intra-city public

transport will be banned to, from & within Islamabad. This ban will not be

applicable to private vehicles, taxis / cabs, rickshaws with 50% occupancy and

medical/ other emergency senvices transport.

2. These NPls/SOPs should be read along with already notified NPls vide No. 1(35)

HC-(G/2021, dated 23.04.2021.

3. This order will come into force on 8th May, 2021 and will remain enforced till 16th
May, 2021.

4. This order shall be given wider publicity in officials Gazette, Daily Newspapers

and Broadcasting through Radio Pakistan, Pakistan Television and other TV

Channels as news item for information of the General public.
