The Story of Wemmicks

This story is about a group of small wooden people called Wemmicks. The Wemmicks
were made of carved wood and it was Eli who did it. Eli is the one who overlooked at the
village. There are a lot Wemmicks, some are wearing hat, some does not. Some wemmicks are
tall, some has pointed nose and others had large eyes. The Wemmicks kept on judging each
other day by day by giving stickers in there wooden body. These stickers are used for them to
classify and judge the wemmicks if he/she is a good or bad wemmicks. Each Wemmick had a
box of golden star stickers and a box of dull gray dot stickers. Golden star stickers are classified
as a better, smarter, wiser, and talented wemmicks, on the other hand, the box of dull gray dot
stickers are classified as cheap wemmicks. Certain judgements and stickers were put on this
Wemmick named Punchinello. Punchinello is a simple wemmick. He only wants to enjoy life but
people keep on judging him. Labels that was put in Punchinello’s wooden body eventually hurt.
He doesn’t want to go outside and have some time because he is afraid of more judgements.
One day, He met a Wemmick that does not even have stickers or dull gray dots and it was Lucia.
Lucia is also a simple wooden girl. She always believes and know her worth. Lucia was one of
the Wemmicks who would get all the good labels however she didn’t care what Wemmicks
thought. Punchinello was so amazed to Lucia and asked what she did to have a life like what
Lucia is living for. With conversations she convinced Punchinello to go talk to Eli about
everything. Punchinello doesn’t hesitate to approach Eli. While Punchinello is talking to Eli, he
did realized things that Eli wanted him to realize. Eli told him that Punchinello is special because
He created him. He is his divine masterpiece and no matter what other Wemmicks thought
about Punchinello, Eli would still love him for he is special and he loves Punchinello.

b. Lucia – Lucia is the person who keeps on encouraging me and helping me to become
closer to God.

2. How do I relate myself in the situation of Punichello? (Personal reflection)

Punchinello is a person who keeps on thinking about what others will say. He is always after
in someone’s opinion, judgements, and other things. I am so relate about Punchinello’s
situation in life. I always doubt my self-worth, and I feel like I was not being loved by anyone
else. During my grade school, I was being bullied because I am over weight. I came to a point
that I wanted to stop grade school because I am afraid of judgements. I thought I was different
to all of them but I was wrong. I have realized so many things; I am proud to say that I stand
firmly and believe that I am special for I am God’s Daughter. I shouldn’t depend myself on other
people’s judgement about my life because God is with me. God created me because I have a
purpose in this world. God loves me like everyone else.
