DRUM UNLOADING PROCEDURE

Drum Unloading Procedure

• Check the levels of Amine in the storage tank.
• Provide the Helmet, Hand Gloves, and Goggles, Mouth Mask, Safety shoes and filling
point bucket.
• Provide good ventilation and lighting in working areas.
• Use of Forklift, Drum Trolley for Loading / Unloading activity.
• Draw out sample from the drum and send it to laboratory for analysis and check for the
quality. Use clean Dip tube for sampling.
• Ensure product filled drums are neatly covered with clean Tarpaulin to avoid dust and
moisture on drums.
• Connect the Drum to the unloading pump with the proper hose.
• Remove the air lock from the pump by opening the pump vent.
• Start the pump and check the pressure in pressure gauge.
• Open the discharge valve of the pump slowly to transfer the material to the storage tank.
• After transfer of the liquid is completed, close the pump discharge valve and switch off
the pump.
• Disconnect the hose. Drain out the material.
