わたし は がくせい です。 Watashi wa gakusei desu. I am a student. あなた は せんせい です。 Anata wa sensei desu. You are a teacher.

B. Noun は Adjective です

はは は やさしい です。 Haha wa yasashii desu. My mother is gentle. ちち は おもしろい です。 Chichi wa omoshiroi desu. My father is funny. *Note: Mother is actually “okaasan” and father is “otousan” when talking about other people’s mother and father, but when one person talks about their own mother and father, they call them “haha” (mother) and “chichi” (father).
