FILE NAMING CONVENTIONS


Please follow the label guidelines with no spaces:

For AUDIO files – A_(Voice Section)_(Last Name)_(First name)


For Video Files - V_(Voice Section)_(Last Name)_(First name)

Example:

Audio File: A_Alto1_Robredo_Leni


Video File: V_Alto1_Robredo_Leni

GENERAL RECORDING INSTRUCTIONS


• AUDIO – Raw audio dapat. Hindi rinig ang guide/midi sa ipapasang AUDIO
• VIDEO – Patugtugin ang guide track at kumanta habang nagvideo recording. Para mas
madali mag sync ng videos.
• Sopranos – Magstart kayo after the prep beat 123, 456 (Additional 1 measure)

AUDIO RECORDING GUIDELINES (From KRP Guidelines)

• Find a place to record where the sound is as dry and as quiet as possible. Sing into your
open closet. The doors of the closet will act as your sound box and the clothes will
dampen the sound. Hindi mo kailangan pumasok sa loob ng closet.
• Avoid singing in the bathroom or anywhere there is a lot of echo and reverb.
• Recording must be as free of aural clutter as possible. Get rid of any external sounds
(electric fan, aircon, patulugin ang mga aso’t manok, wag sisipain ang silya)
• You may use the voice recorder app on your phone. DO NOT USE THE EARPHONE MIC
TO RECORD YOUR SINGING
• iPhones should be okay but if your phone is Android, make sure that any kind of filter or
noise reduction function is turned off. Sound should be raw, don’t attempt to process
your recording on your own. Bawal ang mag-auto tune.
• Distance of your recording device should be about 1.5 feet away from your mouth
• When singing, be strict about the rhythm para sabay-sabay tayo. • You may send in
either WAV or MP3 format

VIDEO RECORDING (From KRP Guidelines)

• WHAT TO WEAR: SOLID & PLAIN PINK/FUCHSIA TOP


• SOLID & PLAIN light background
• Take one (1) full video without cuts
• Make sure that the quality of your video recording is always on Full HD 1920 x 1080 at
30 FPS
• Record in LANDSCAPE orientation, not PORTRAIT orientation.
• Camera shot should be medium shot, head to bottom of ribcage. Be mindful of
headroom.
• Make sure to have good lighting.
• Avoid dark areas and against the light shots.
• Avoid a low angle shot, shooting up, or shooting down angle.
• Look into the camera when recording
