The recruitment and selection issue I see in Nepalese organizations is the lack of good HR
professionals. Good recruitment in organizations requires skilled human resources who can
attract the top talent, use various selection predictors, and select the best among the pool of
candidates. Effective recruiting and selection not only meet job requirements, but also guarantees
that an organization's commitment to providing equal opportunity to all employees is upheld.

The main reason for the issue is the lack of HR-specialized people in the market. For example,
due to a shortage of good HR professionals in the market, Worldlink communications started
hiring Charter Accountants in their HR department. I have also seen the job vacancies in the HR
department in which the academic qualification required is only a BBS degree. Due to this, the
companies face problems like lack of qualified candidates, attracting the right job candidates,
selection of best candidates, and retention of the best candidates.

The Issues can be solved in following ways:

       Hire HR professionals with good knowledge and experience about the recruitment and
educational institutions should specialize in HR courses
       Companies can provide training related to recruitment and selection,
       Companies should consider the HR department as a core business function,
       Building talent pool
       Develop good recruitment and selection strategy
