AP Euro Exam
•  3 hours 15 minutes long

•  55 multiple choice questions

•  3 short answer questions (SAQs)

•  1 document based question (DBQ)

•  1 long essay question (LEQ)


LEQ
•  You answer 1 question.
o  Pick from 3 prompts

•  Response should be 4-6 paragraphs long.

•  You earn 6 points for a complete answer.

•  Time: 40 minutes

•  15% of your score


Scoring
•  Total of 6 points available

•  1 point contextualization (1st paragraph)


•  1 point thesis (1st paragraph)

•  1-2 points Evidence & Support for Argument (Body)


o  1 point use at least 2 specific examples of evidence
o  1 point use that evidence to SUPPORT your argument

•  Total of 6 points available

•  1-2 points Analysis and Reasoning (Whole Essay)


o  1 point use correct historical reasoning to frame or structure argument.
•  i.e. comparison, causation, continuity and change

o  Demonstrate complex understanding of argument


•  Very hard to earn this point.

o  Not necessary (can drop if rushed for time)
o  Can restate thesis here and summarize argument.
