 3. Explain why business ethics is an oxymoron. 


Business ethics is an oxymoron owing to the incompatibility of business
and ethics. They both have different goals. Success in business requires activities
that are perceived to be immoral by culture. For example, aggressive rivalry and the
exclusion of rivals by rigid measures are considered immoral because they deprive
other firms the ability to succeed. Business and ethics are not synonymous.
Businesses should also rely on what they do and leave ethics to people.
