COMPANY BACKGROUND

Established in February of 1997, Metrotech Steel Industries Inc. started

manufacturing roll-up doors as its main product line. Through the years, several
other products were added to the company’s product line.
Currently, Metrotech Steel Industries Inc. does not only produce roll-up
doors but also trash and linen chutes, louver doors and windows, fire rated and
non-fire rated steel doors, and the company’s latest innovation Metro Style steel
doors.
Metrotech Steel Industries Inc.’s manufacturing facility is located in
Valenzuela City, one of the major economic and industrial center of the Philippines.
The factory is equipped with several machines and equipment that includes roll-
forming machines, CNC shearing machines, CNC bending machines, plasma cutting
machines, power press and other tools which not only ensures efficient production
but also assures that every product we deliver to the client is of superior quality
with precise dimensions and tolerances.
Further, as part of the company’s on-going expansion, Metrotech Steel
Industries Inc., ventured into distribution of door hardware and other fire-
stopping products. The company is currently the only door manufacturer in the
Philippines that is also a licensed distributor and importer of brands such as Assa
Abloy, Yale, Pemko, Pyroplex, I-tek, Klacci, etc.
In the company’s pursuit to provide the local market with excellent steel
shutters, steel doors, trash and linen chutes, door hardware and fire-stopping
products, the company is heavily guided by its mission and vision to strongly
adhere to the customers’ needs and to offer the highest level of customer service,
including timely response, competitive pricing, and high quality standards for its
products and services.
The company’s quest of providing the market with outstanding products has
reached its 20th year now and still continuously gaining ardent acknowledgment in
the market. Having proven its worth in the industry, Metrotech Steel Industries
Inc .is now being recognized as one of the leading manufacturer of shutters, metal

MetroThermaDoor
The emphasis on life safety and property protection has never been greater
than it is today. Fire doors play a very important role in the fire resistance of a
building by allowing people to evacuate safely from a building while also limiting the
spread of fire and smoke to the other areas.

Metrotech Steel Industries, Inc. is proud to offer you Metro Therma Fire
Doors, successfully tested with UL 10C positive pressure for 3/4 hour, 1 hour, 1 ½
hours and 3 hours with 450oF temperature rise. All doors are produced under
Underwriters Laboratories factory inspection and labeling service program.

Metro Therma Fire Doors are a symbol of excellence in quality construction

and functionality. What sets it apart from other UL classified doors is that Metro
Therma Fire Doors, are insulated with Rockwool; which are vital thermal and
acoustic insulation products with excellent fire resistance properties. It resist fire
and do not promote fire spread in or over buildings and since Rockwool has an open
fibrous structure, it is ideal for absorbing and regulating noise as well.

METRO STEEL DOORS
Metrotech Steel Industries, Inc. emphasizes total quality and security in
our steel doors and steel frame products therefore leading us to being the preferred
brand in the industry. Our steel doors provide long lasting durability and security to
your establishments. We focus on identifying the needs of the market and
delivering quality products and services to our clients. As door specialist, we can
customize to any size or design as per project/client requirements and
specifications.
Standard door specifications are 44 mm door thickness, door faces are
formed of Gauge 16, Gauge 18 or Gauge 20 galvanized steel sheets or Galvalume
steel sheets, doors are insulated with either Rockwool, honeycomb, Polyurethane
foam. Steel door frames are formed of Gauge 14, Gauge 16 or Gauge 18 galvanized
steel sheets or Galvalume steel sheets which are available in a variety of jamb
profiles. As standards, steel doors and frames are epoxy primer coat finished but
can also be finished with lacquer paint, acrylic paint or powdercoated to clients
choice of color.

and security through its new innovation, Metro Style door series. The doors are
designed and manufactured to resemble wooden doors but provides the security
and durability of our steel doors. These one of a kind doors are designed to
safeguard your family from force intrusions and even fire.

Why use Metro Style™ doors rather than wooden doors?

Wooden doors traditionally were chosen mainly for its aesthetic qualities
while steel doors were chosen only because of their strength and/or fire resistance.
For a long time, steel doors manufacturers had no or limited way of achieving the
appearance of wood doors effectively… Metro Style steel doors combines both
qualities of a wooden door and a steel door.

Introducing, Metro Style™ Steel Doors:

• While Metro Style doors aesthetic beauty may not reveal its strength, these
doors are stronger, more secure, and less susceptible to damage than any
wood doors.
• Metro Style doors will not warp, crack, peel or bow.
• Metro Style doors are available with fire ratings to meet the requirements of
the clients. With Metro Style, steel doors designed to substitute wooden
doors can meet building and fire code requirements while also enhancing the
aesthetic integrity or harmony of any building design.
• Metro Style doors with Embossed panels and Groove line in powder-coated or
painted finish enables the steel door to resemble a wooden door. With the
added stability of steel, it provides greater life safety protection and security
while maintaining aesthetic beauty and elegance.
• Metro Style doors are compatible with a wider range of door hardware,
including fire exit devices, concealed or surface mounted door closers,
hinges, knob or lever locks and other hardware.

Where Should Metro Style™ Doors Be Used?

Metro Style doors are equally suited to both interior and exterior
applications. It can be installed in condominiums, hotels, schools, hospitals, offices,
nursing homes, apartment buildings, and other facilities that need to maintain
design harmony without sacrificing elegance, durability and security. They are
widely used as main doors, bedroom doors, stairwell doors, conference/meeting
room doors, hospital doors, and classroom doors.

Properly selected and installed Metro Style doors provide all the warmth and
beauty of a wooden door. For applications that demand large measures of both
style and strength, these doors combine the traditional values of wood with a heart
of steel.

 Metro Style door series’ size and design can be customized according to
clients size and design preferences. Below are some of the sample designs that are

Metroshutters™

Metroshutters™ for stores, commercial buildings and factories are strong

enough for absolute security and are designed for reliable, simple and speedy
operation. Metroshutters™ have been developed in response to the changing needs
of the market and industry. We are a believer that shutters are supposed to meld
their practical function of protection with choices of attractive designs. To give the
customers as free choice as possible, Metroshutters™ offers a range of roll-up door
products to cater for the broad range of needs.

Stainless/Galvalume C-profile Shutters

These heavy duty shutters are designed to provide maximum security to

your establishments while also offering optional perforated curtains or vent
holes for ventilation purposes; it is commonly used in commercial stores and
factories. Metroshutters™ offers different curtains/slats thickness for this type of
shutters, Ga.24, Ga.22, Ga.20, Ga.18, Ga16 depending on the clients’ needs
and requirements. The shutters can be manually operated, chain block
operated or motor operated. Clients have the option to have the shutters
powder coated or painted or otherwise remain unpainted.

Stainless / Aluminum Grilles

These are commonly used on exteriors openings of

building/infrastructures, store fronts or parking entrance/exit. The grilles are
designed for security, transparency and ventilation. These types of shutters are
offered in Venetian type designs or brick type depending on the clients’ choice
of design. The curtains are constructed from interlocking aluminum/stainless
flat bars and round bars. In between these aluminum bars are metal rods which
give the shutter strength for total security. It can be operated manually, chain-
block or motorized.

Polycarbonate with Powder coated Aluminum Curtains

Commonly used on the stores located inside the malls and hotels, this type
of shutters are designed to provide security, elegance and transparency,
suitable for advertising products even when the shops are closed. Also, with
the transparent shutters, security personnel can easily identify any intruder or
unauthorized person in the shop even when it is closed. The curtains are made
from 3mm thick polycarbonate slats, forming an elegant yet secure shutter. It
can be operated manually, chain-block or motorized.

METRO CHUTES

Over the years, due to strong demands and urban

development, more and more high rise buildings and
commercial buildings are being constructed. With garbage
collection and hygiene as one of the concerns of this trend,
Trash Chutes became a common use in buildings to allow
for a more efficient waste disposal from the different
floors.

Trash chutes are commonly used in apartments,

condominiums, hotels, hospitals and other office buildings
while Linen Chutes are commonly used in hospitals and
hotels.

Metro Chutes are designed to solve garbage

collection efficiently. The standard, trash chute diameter is
600mm or 500mm, using Gauge 18 Stainless steel sheets
or galvalume.

As a standard, self-closing Intake door size is

500mm x 500mm, formed with gauge 18 stainless sheets.
However, the intake door size may vary depending on the
requirements. Metrotech Steel Industries Inc. also
provides floor support for the trash chute as well as chute
vent for exhaust.

Optional accessories can be added to Metro Trash

Chute such as sprinklers and sanitizing systems.
