    FALE/BALE Ifugao houses are highly admired ethnic architectural designs


    due to the use of the indigenous system of construction that
    is more complex than it appears to be. As we can see, the
    coconut tree house which is located at Abra de Ilog,
    Occidental Mindoro is similar in its characteristics to the
    Fale/Bale Ifugao House. Both houses have large roofs
    that keep their exteriors from the wind and also used
    thatch to avoid or lessen the heat from the sunlight.
    The shape of the roofs are also both pyramidal or
    conical. In terms of the facade, both have similar sole
    entrances.
