Essay about to continue the existence of dance

The Philippines is rich in different arts like painting, sculpture, molding, and
photography. Some ethnic people contributed some dances in our country and one of this is
the folk dance. Folk dances are dances bound by tradition with movements that passed down
through the generations. It is not just one singular style of dance, but a collection of many
dances. There are many explanations why folk dance are very important, one of this is that it
keeps a culture of people alive, by sharing and teaching younger generations. Keeping on
sharing and teaching the tradition of dancing to the younger generations makes the chain
uncut. Continuing tradition that we have started shows respect and connection to our roots.

Things we need to do to be able to continue the existence of the dance tradition from
our ancestries is that don’t break the chain of sharing and teaching younger generations.
Sharing and teaching this tradition must start from the educators, it’s because they are more
knowledgeable and has its own effective strategy to catch the person’s attention to be able to
convey the proper, echt, and enough information that can be acquired by the person. As a
concern Filipino and a young lady who want to keep our culture alive, I will use my own
voice to speak and teach people in regards of the importance of continuing and embracing
traditions so that I can help and enlighten other people how important is that and how it
affect our everyday living. I may not be one of the root of this heritage but I want to continue
what we have started and strengthen this convention to be able to uncut the chain of this
habituated custom from our ancestries.

To sum up everything that has been stated so far, tradition of dancing folk dances is
very important and has a big contribution to each one of us and to our society. And it is not
deserved to be forgotten because it deserves to remember always. Before I end this, let me drop
first a take ways. “We must strive to utilize every opportunity available to us to reinforce the
traditions we are holding”.
