Creating a project
 Click new project

Import & organize

 Import as single / folder (videos, music,
anamorphic crop, sfx)
 Use ~ key to get fullscreen & back

Creating a sequence
 Click on project panel
 Click new item
 Click sequence
 AVCHD (1080p) AVCHD 1080p 25
 Enter sequence name
 Ok
 Timeline opens

 Editing video & music

 straight away import full video from

project panel to timeline
 NOTE : keep existing settings

 We can zoom in / out using +/-

Trimming :

 We can double click the video in project

panel
 It opens in source panel
 We can add starting pt (i) and ending pt
(o)
 And select video / audio / both into
timeline

 We can also trim directly in timeline

using trim tool and then use selection
tool to delete remaining

 So now keep the vertical bar in timeline

to the start and end pts and press c

 press ctrl+alt+k premiere pro

shortcut opens
 Go to search and type add edit
 We will see the shortcut(ex:c)

 Extending:

 For extending place the cursor at start

or end
 A red thing will occur
 Drag it
Adjusting opacity :

 Click in the space in front of the video

 Press alt+mouse wheel
 Becomes big
 Now click tool (like spanner)
 Show video key frames (for audio there
is another)
 Keyframe appears
 Click pen tool(p) and adjust opacity

 Also adjust opacity for audio

Adjust speed of the video :

 Right click on the video in timeline

 Speed/duration
 Set the value
 For slow set in – (ex: -50)

Adding SFX
 Drag the audio from project panel to
timeline where we need it accurately
 And if needed fade out the music/audio
at the end of particular clip

 Adding text
 Go to graphics
 Panel opens edit
 Click the symbol and click text
 Now double click and type text
 We can change font, size etc in that panel
 For better experience add cross dissolve
effect to start and end

 NOTE : press the effect we want and press

ctrl+d
 It automatically adds the effect

Colour correction and grading

Colour correction : (adjusting colour diff.
b/w 2 clips)
 >> effects
 Type lumetri colour
 Drag & drop it to the req. Clip
 We don’t find any difference
 Now in the source panel click effects
control
 In that we’ll find lumetri colour
 We can adjust temperature, exposure and
others
 We can also use the curves option & adjust
the colours

 Colour grading : (making the entire video in a
specific style)

 In project panel, right click in empty space

 New item Adjustment layer
 Click ok and drag and place it at top of our
entire video
 Now apply lumetri colour on it
 Now in effects control, adjust the
curve(here s curve)
 We have given a contrast to entire video
 Then go to hue vs saturation
 Adjust according to purpose(ex:in that video,
since talking of nature they slightly
increased the greenish tone

Exporting
 file export
 Click media (ctrl+m)
 Format : h264
 Preset : match source-high bitrate
 Click use maximum render quality
