GIBBS REFLECTION

Via video presentations and case review, we will learn more about gastrointestinal tract diseases during this
rotation. At the conclusion of our rotation, we are also given a case for our group presentation. We had no difficulty
producing the material because we were already given ample details about the case; however, we ran into
difficulties during the dry-run of the presentation because of our internet access and technological difficulties.

Most of us were irritated because we couldn't afford to make mistakes during the real presentation; the dry-
run was meant to be our "practice" where we could figure out every potential scenario, but we were hindered by the
internet access. Owing to the connection, other participants were unable to participate in the dry-run.

The only positive thing that came out of this scenario was that the remaining participants who took part in
the dry-run were diligent in presenting the well-prepared presentations for us to practice our pieces. We worked as
a team and attempted to solve the problems one by one. If something goes wrong during the presentation, we come
up with suggestions and solutions. The only thing that didn't go as expected was our representatives' total absence,
which is understandable given the position we're in.

This experience taught me that there are certain aspects about which we have no influence. Having a backup
plan is essential at these periods, particularly when the "new standard" may be a hindrance to our learning. These
hard times can pass quickly, but we must persevere until the end.

If this case arises again in the future, we must be prepared with a backup strategy or solutions to avoid
making the same mistakes again. I'll be more patient and understanding of the situation, especially when things are
beyond my control. I must understand that we are not in the same situation, and that in order to get out of this
mess, we must have a clearer understanding of each other in order to get a better presentation result.
