4 Watch the video clip for a third time. Circle the correct numbers in the
sentences.

1 Rugby school started in 1567/1657 as a school just for boys. Girls started going
there in 1937/1973. It costs over £20,000/£30,000 a year to study there.
2 Rugby football began in the 18th/19th century. In 1823/1832 a boy at the school
broke the rules of the game when he ran with the ball. On 28th/29th August 1845/1854
a group of 3/4 boys aged between 15/16 and 17/18 finished writing the 27/37 rules of
rugby football.
3 In Rugby Union there are 13/15 players on a team and in Rugby League there are
13/15. A rugby match lasts 60/80 minutes.

4 Every 4/5 years teams from around the world play in the Rugby Union World Cup.
South Africa were the winners in 2007/2010.
