B. OBSERVATION CRITICALITY
Critical:
An observation defined as critical relates to a serious failure of equipment or system which has the potential to cause
injury to personnel, damage to the environment or compromise the current operation.
Major:
An observation defined as major relates to a significant failure of equipment or system which has the potential to cause
capital equipment downtime or adversely affect the current operation.
Minor:
An observation defined as minor relates to an equipment or system defect which cannot be categorised as above and
which does not meet the requirements of the referenced standard or other codes of practice in use at the time of the survey.
