Set-1: Directions for question 1 to 4 : Answer the questions based on information given below.

As part of evaluating the performance of the players of the school basketball team, Sekhar, the newly appointed coach,
asked all the six players – A, B, C, D, E and F – of the team to submit details of their performance in all the six matches
played by the team in the inter-school tournament the previous month. Only these six players had played for the school
in the tournament and each of the players had played in all the six matches. Player C without knowing that the coach
had the total scores of the team in each of the six matches with him, showed a higher number of points in his name in
match-III. After going through the scores of the players, the coach found that the scores of the individual players were
not adding up to the total scores of the team for match-III. On further enquiry, he found that player C has exaggerated
his score and hence decided to exclude him from the team selection. For ease of comparison, he then decided to make
a table(Table-I) representing the share of the points scored by each of the remaining players as a percentage of total
points scored by only the five of them put together in the tournament and another table(Table-II) representing the share
of the total points scored by the team in each of the five matches after excluding match-III, as a percentage of the total
points scored by the team in only the five matches put together.

When Shekhar realised that player C was a vital part of the team and since he presently did not have any body to
replace him with, he decided to include player C also in his team. After player C had provided the correct information
about the points he scored in different matches, two more graphs were drawn to compare the performance of the
players.

1. The total points scored by the team in all the six matches put together, is at least

(A) 200 (B) 240 (C) 300 (D) 400

2. The number of points scored by the player who scored the highest number of points for the team in the tournament,
is at least

(A) 55 (B) 80 (C) 10 (D) 120

3. If 8% of the total points scored by the team in the tournament were scored in match-I, then what is the ratio of the
total points scored by the player D in the tournament and the total points scored by the team in match-II?

(A) 10:9 (B) 4:5 (C) 6:7 (D) 7:6

4. If in match-IV, 25% of the points scored by the team were scored by player F and 16.66% by player C, then what is
the ratio of the total points scored in the tournament by F and that by C?

(A) 1:1 (B) 7:8 (C) 11:16 (D) 21:16

Set-2: Directions for question 5 to 8:

A meteorological agency measured the temperature (in oC) across six cities for ten consecutive days. Every day, the
agency measured the temperature in each city exactly once and at a specified time of the day. The agency also observed
that, during this ten days period, the temperature in any city across two consecutive days either remained constant or
changed by 2oC. The following chart provides the maximum and minimum temperature recorded during the ten days for
each city.

5. It is known that average temperature over the ten days in one of the six cities was 25 o C, which of the following
cities it can be ?
A) City 1 B) City 2 C) City 3 D) More than one of the above.

6. If any day on which all the six cities had the same temperature is called an ‘isothermal’ day, then what is the
maximum number of isothermal days during the given period?

7. On which of the following days can all the six cities have a temperature of 22 0C. ?
A) Day 7 B) Day 8 C) Day 3 D) Day 9

8. If the temperature of city 3 is 26oC on Day 5, which of the following can be the average temperature (in oc) for the
city over 10 days ?
A) 23.8 B) 24.4 C)26.3 D) 26.8

SET-3: Directions for questions 9 to 12: Answer these questions based on the information given below.
Exactly three persons, Hari, Krish and Ram, participated in a weightlifting competition, comprising three rounds, in which
each person lift a weight exactly once in each of the three rounds. After the three persons participate in the three rounds,
the Combined Total Weight, which is defined as the sum of the heaviest two weights lifted in any round by a person, is
calculated for each of the three persons. The three persons are then ranked, from 1 to 3, in the descending order of
Combined Total Weights. No person lifted the same weight across any two rounds and the Combined Total Weight
for each person was distinct. Further, the weight (in kg) that each person lifted was an integer.

Ram lifted 17kg more in the first round than Krish did in that round, while Hari lifted the same weight in the second round
as Krish did in the third round. Also, the round in which a person lifted his least weight was distinct for the three persons.
The difference in the weight lifted by Krish in the first round and that by Ram in the third round was 20 kg, while the
difference in the weights lifted by Ram in the first round and Hari in the third round was 18 kg. Krish lifted 25 kg more in
the second round than Hari did in the first round, The Combined Total Weight for Hari was calculated using the weights
that he lifted in the first and second rounds. Further, Ram lifted 15 kg more in the second round than Krish did in the
third round.

Directions for questions 9 to 12: Type in your answer in the input box provided below the question.

9. If Ram was ranked first in the competition, the what is the maximum difference (in kg) in weights lifted by Hari in the
first round and Krish in the first round?

10. If Krish was ranked first in the competition, what is the minimum difference (in kg) between the highest weight that
any person lifted in any round and the lowest weight that any person lifted in any round?

11. If Hari was ranked second in the competition, what is the minimum difference (in kg) between the weight that Krish
lifted in the second round and the weight that Ram lifted in the second round?

12. If the weight lifted by each person in the second round were all distinct integral multiple of 15, what is the minimum
Combined Total Weight (in kg) of the person who was ranked first?

SET-4: Directions for question 13 to 16: Answer the questions based on the information given below.

Simple happiness index(SHI) of a country is computed on the basis of three parameters: Social support(S), Freedom of
life choices(F), and Corruption percentile ( C ). Each of these three parameters is measured on a scale of 0 to 8 (integers
only). A country is then categorised based on the total score obtained by summing the scores of all the three parameters,
as shown in the following table:

Total Scores 0-4 5-8 9-13 14-19 20-24

Category Very Unhappy Unhappy Neutral Happy Very Happy

The following diagram depicts the frequency distribution of the scores in S, F and C of 10 countries – Amda, Benga,
Calla, Delma, Eppa, Varsa, Wanna, Xanda, Yanga and Zooma:

Further, the following are known:

1. Amda and Calla jointly have the lowest score, 7, with identical scores in all the three parameters.
2. Zooma has a total scores of 17.
3. All the 3 countries, which are categorised as happy, have the highest score in exactly one parameter.

13. What is Amda’s score in F.

14. What is Zooma’s score in S?

15. Benga and Delma, two countries categorised as happy, are tied with the same total score. What is the maximum
score they can have?

16. If Benga scores 16 and Delma scores 15, then what is the maximum number of countries with a score of 13?

Set-5: Direction for question 17 to 20 Answer the question based on the information given below.

The citizens of the Kya-Kya Island had to pay an income tax on their income and for any individual, the rate of tax
applicable increased with an increase in the income of the individual. Rupee was the currency of Kya-Kya island and
only citizen who earned ₹12000 per year or less didn’t have to pay an income tax. For any individual who earned more
than ₹12000 per year the income tax was calculated based on the three income slabs- slab1, slab2 and slab3 – as per
the table given below.

Income Range of Income Total Tax Incident
