PINTIG
Pintig (Heartbeat) is something like a propelling
force. When our heart beats, it propels blood to
be supplied to the different parts of our body to
give oxygen and nutrients to every single cell to
survive. When our heart beats with something, it
creates in us an impulse to do something about
it without delay or hesitation.

God’s heartbeat is for the world. He loved the
world so much that He gave His One and Only
Son, Jesus for us. The deeper we understand His
love, our heartbeat will gradually change to His.
It will propel us to do something to make an
impact in the lives of others, and it will deepen
our worship unto God.
As Paul prayed for the believers in Ephesians
3:14-21, “I pray that out of his glorious riches he
may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in
your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your
hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being
rooted and established in love, may have power,
together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp
how wide and long and high and deep is the love of
Christ, and to know this love that surpasses
knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure
of all the fullness of God”.
As we go through this series, may it bring us to a
deeper understanding of God’s heartbeat for
you and for the world. May it change our 2
heartbeat to beat like His.
 INSTRUCTIONS
The “Pintig Series” will be held for four
consecutive weeks in the month of
September. It aims to bring us to
understand the heartbeat of God and what
it takes from us to understand and go into
our life’s journey with it.
For each series, there will be an LG take Life group gatherings must

Obedience: Obeying God’s
Quiet Call 1 Kings 19

This heartbeat is compared to the heartbeat of a Father. Just
like every loving father would do, He longs to see His children
to obey what He wills for us to experience a life He specially
designed for us.
Obedience honours the love of the Father and the presence of
Christ in our hearts. Even in His most quiet call, God fashions
us into children who are willing and quick to obey Him. In 1
Kings 19, Elijah discovered it will not be in the whirlwind, or in
thunder, or in lightning, or in any spectacular display. It will
come, as to Elijah, in a ‘still small voice’ and he obeyed.
With obedience, it is reciprocated with God’s
overflowing love and blessings far beyond our
expectations.
Obedience to God is not only a way to worship
him, but a way to get closer to Him. It is also a
preparation to whatever and wherever he leads
us to so we can grow maturely in our spiritual
walk with Him.

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
In 1 Kings 19:12 it says that God spoke to Elijah
1 with a gentle whisper, a small still voice. Our
world today can be very loud but if there's
stillness in our hearts, we will be able to hear
God's whisper louder than the daily noise of
life.
In what ways do you keep yourself able to hear
from God and not to be distracted by the noise
and busyness of life?

God speaks to us through His Word, the
2 Bible. The more we soak ourselves, the easier
we can grasp God’s message to us. And the
more we understand His word, the more
likely we are to obey.
What are your practical ways of spending
your moment with God?
Regardless of how God speaks, whether by a
3 glorious revelation or by a gentle whisper, He
is true to what He says. God’s primary desire
in speaking remains the same, that is to bring
salvation so we can experience eternal life
and to mold us into the image Christ. Our part
is to walk in obedience and trust to what He
says.

Peace: As we continue with the series, we are taken to know about God’s heartbeat to give us
peace that is made available for all of us. In John 14:27, we are assured by Jesus that we
don’t have to let ourselves be troubled. When we have God on our side, and if we let

We weren’t designed to carry the weight of the world, because God can and He has
already overcome it for us. The heartbeat of God tells us that despite the

 God wants us to embrace this identity that He designed
for us. We are not what the world speaks about us,
neither what the circumstances that perhaps shaped
our lives now. God’s heartbeat is for us to truly identify
ourselves in Him that we are indeed free, empowered,
chosen, anointed and blessed.

God’s heartbeat is for us to truly know our identity in

Him and freely walk with it. For it is written ‘For he chose
us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and
blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for
True Identity:
adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance
with his pleasure and will’ in Ephesians 1:4-5.

Worship: Sitting at
God’s Feet

Anchored on God's desire for His children to fully surrender themselves in worship and
clutch on the joy of just sitting at Jesus' feet.

Our spiritual hearts stem from our relationship with the Lord. Spending more time with
Him, in prayer, devotion and worship will definitely give us the opportunity to understand
His thoughts and ways. Jesus himself mentioned in John 4:24 “God is Spirit, and His
worshipers must worship Him in Spirit and in truth”
When we are intertwined with the Creator’s heartbeat, we then have the opportunity to
change the atmosphere and be a vessel of God’s presence, nature and glory.

Above all else, praise and worship unto the Lord releases faith as we participate with God’s
heartbeat to share in His victory.

in this posture of worship.
