Abstract --- COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered type of coronavirus.
COVID-19 is now a pandemic that occurs in many countries throughout the world including
Indonesia. In Indonesia COVID-19 continues to experience an increase in number. This makes
people worry and feel uneasy about the virus. Due to the increasing number of risks from this
pandemic, the Government issued several regulations such as Large Scale Social Restrictions, stay
at home, work from home and study from home which made community activities limited and
changed people's daily life patterns, including in the pattern community consumers. The pattern of
public consumers, especially in Indonesia, has changed with the existence of this pandemic.
According to ADA, a data analysis and artificial intelligence (AI) company, noted a drastic change
in people's daily routines that resulted in new consumer behavior due to COVID-19. Many people
who change the behavior of consumers who previously shopped on the spot to shop online.
According to impression data from Google Trends there has been an increase in search trends
regarding online shopping. ADA also noted an increase in the use of productivity applications by
the community. During the COVID-19 pandemic, people were more focused on survival by
switching to meeting their needs. The purpose of this paper is to determine the effect of COVID-
19 that changes the behavior of consumers in Indonesia. The writing of this journal also uses data
research methods from trusted organizations.
