Airbus Helicopters informs you that some failure codes displayed on the VEMD maintenance page are incorrect
and must not be taken into account for the helicopter failure analysis. The incorrect failure codes are recorded with
a time equal to 0 (0h00m00s), which facilitates their identification.
These failure codes are recorded during the following phases:
- engine shut-down (Ng below 10% and NR below 80 rpm),
- starting (increase in rating) (Ng between 10% and 60%).

Consequently, the following failure codes recorded with a time equal to 0 (0h00m00s) must not be taken into
account for the maintenance of the helicopter:

Code Failure description

14 Power supply
32 Heater failed
33 Fan failed
39 Keyboard failed
42 Brightness
43 Cross talk
72 Out of range
80 Cross talk

The automatic VEMD test, which is performed each time the helicopter is energized, ensures that the VEMD
functions required for the flight are available.
