For improvement of the reliability of the maintenance function, Thales Avionics is offering
a modification of the maintenance memory management of the VEMD.
D. Description
Remove VEMD and send it to Thales Avionics. Install modified VEMD.

DEFINITION
Operator Company which operates in regular revenue service the aircraft on

which the modified equipment is installed.
A. Effectivity
This Service Bulletin is applicable to the Thales Avionics VEHICLE AND ENGINE
MANAGEMENT DISPLAY (VEMD) B19030NA02, PNR B19030NA03, PNR B19030NA04,
PNR B19030NB03 and PNR B19030NB04 without amendment A.
In production, the units will include this improvement from serial number 4000.

C. Reason
To improve the reliability of the maintenance function.
D. Description
This evolution modifies the hardware of the maintenance memory management.
E. Compliance
Application of this Service Bulletin is recommended.
The work in this Service Bulletin will be done by Thales Avionics or its Authorized Repair
Stations, systematically, whatever the reason for the return of the unit, except if the return
is only motivated by the application of this Service Bulletin.
