Instructions: Evaluate the situations below, using personal experiences and one or more resources available to you
(such as articles on the web or in print, blogs, podcasts, videos, television, user guides, other individuals, electronics or
computer stores, etc.) Perform the task requested and share your deliverables on a brief report with necessary
discussions.

Reactions to Software Problems

People who use computers and mobile devices sometimes experience problems with software, including
operating systems, desktop apps, web apps, and mobile apps. Problems range from not being able to install or download
a program or app to a computer or mobile device, to a program or an app producing unanticipated results. Depending
on the situation, these problems can result in user stress. Many people believe that reactions to software problems tend
to be more extreme than reactions to problems with other tools.

Do This:
1. Evaluate situations in; which you have seen people react to program and app problems on their
computers and mobile devices. Discuss how these users can reduce their frustrations when dealing with
such issues.

• Insufficient storage, hanging apps when a running memory is occupied by massive data, slowing
computers, glitching monitors while executing heavy-duty chores may cause big problems on
their machines. It is the most common problem that we encounter at most every day. With
such issues given: Users should perform basic troubleshooting' first such as checking for
Software Updates or Check the device's memory/storage. They should be thinking about how
to deal with the most common software issues they face and; how to improve their work
experience, even if they obsolete technologies. They should not be; driven by desperate actions
such as shutting down your computer when it's hanging might harm their devices as well. Users
should be more focused on optimizing their devices to limit encounters with these types of
issues.

2. How did you react when you were frustrated by problems with a program or an app?

• Reaction towards these types of problems is more situational for me. For instance, when I am
playing an online game- it is frequent that when; there are several applications opened at once.
One of those applications would crash or would experience problems such as lagging or
hanging. My initial reaction would sometimes be frustrating and have my mood be all over
the place. I sometimes stop what I am doing because of my frustration or pick one application
to use so that I would be able to run the application smoothly. With technology- it is a hit or
miss, sometimes everything runs the way it is, and sometimes it does not. Most of the time, I
react in a sense that I tend to research and understand why these problems occur or if there are
ways on how I can stop these problems.

3. What did you do to solve the problem?

• Playing has always been a source of enjoyment for me, but my friends also make me happy.
So, I make a schedule where I will be communicating or hanging out with them. When I think
they're not going to message me, I keep playing. When my internet or laptop crashed, I can
fix it by simply restarting our network or my computer. Close one app I'm not using can
reduce the risks of obtaining a high ping during the game if I try to calm down and apply logic
in addressing practical problems. It helps me concentrate even more on what I'm doing at any
given time.
