    Keyboarding Activity
    Guidelines

    1st Semester / AY 2020-2021


    Laboratory Manual for IT Fundamentals for IT 2

    I. Specific Topic: Typing Exercise

    II. Objectives: To be familiar with the proper keyboard positioning techniques and improve
    the typing speed.

    III. Definition of a Laboratory Activity:

    1. Click on this link : https://www.typing.com to redirect you on typing.com website.


    2. Go to the students tab and click typing lessons. Sign-up for free, make sure to read
    the terms and conditions of your subscription.

    3. Take the different lessons provided practicing the proper keyboarding technique.

    4. After taking the lessons, it’s time for you to take the typing test. Go to the typing test home
    page, under the student tab, select typing test.

    5. Take the 5 minute test.

    6. After the test, results will be displayed, click on print test results and save your certificate on
    a. pdf format. Submit your certificate on a .pdf format, with a file name : “Surname”-Keyboard
    Test Results. Good Luck J .
