Give any two definitions of Social Studies which you believed more acceptable
to contemporary practitioners.
- Social studies provide opportunities for contemporary practitioners because with
the help of social studies it will be able to develop their skills, knowledge, engage
with other people and develop their decisions, have historical thinking and
literacy. With the help of social studies, we will be able to understand more about
our society and what we want to become in the future and also by that, we will be
able to know some modern artist and their unique installation and artworks, we
will be able to learn by their works and someday we can also inspire and help
others through artworks.
- The contemporary practitioners will be able to learn from social studies because
it helps us, as a human to understand the world we live in and by that, it can show
or portrait through artworks the events during those times, their feeling and their
struggles and they can share it to others and by that it can also help others to be
inspired and develop their skills, knowledge, and wisdom by the help of social
studies.
2. What is Social Studies from your point of view as a teacher in training
- From my point of view as a teacher training social sciences is a study of relation
to each other and it gives information’s, knowledge by the help of history,
geography, ecology, economics, law, philosophy, political science, and other social
science disciplines. Social studies help the teachers and students to better
understand the world we live in and to understand the issues that we face in our
communities and humankind and it helps us as a teacher to better understand
what we want to become in the near future because social studies help to develop
our values, knowledge, and skills to become active and be responsible citizens and
to be aware to the possible effect of change in my communities, society, and the
world. Social studies provide learning opportunities to us by understanding our
responsibilities.
