Mathematics plays an important role in our lives. Nowadays, the world leans more heavily on
science and technology and it demands more and more mathematical knowledge on the part of
its people, and technology grows rapid for recognizing, classifying, and exploiting patterns,
mathematics is also the study of patterns and relationships, mathematics is a way of thinking,
mathematics is an art, mathematics is a tool, and also mathematics is a language. There is so
many parts of mathematics that we all need to know, it is more than just a numbers
incorporated with logic and it is not just an academic requirement that needed to be taken, it is
life and mathematics is life.

There are so many ways to get to know the mathematics, in the first instance, the mathematics
about patterns and relationships, it is part of mathematics not just by numbers, geometry,
formulas and functions this can be real or imagined and this is all in the human mind and that’s
why mathematics is also a way of thinking, because of patterns it becomes creative, beautiful,
and dynamic and by being curious in regards on how it works human mind start to solve
problems, making predictions and creating logical arguments.

Mathematics is also an art because of patterns because the skills in math and arts are related it
both requires spatial reasoning skills and ability to recognize patterns, both mathematician and
artist use geometry in their works including shapes, symmetry, proportion, and measurement.
Mathematics is a language due to the fact that math can also act as a universal language it says
that a phrase or formula has the same meaning and in this way math helps people to learn and
communicate, also math as a language gives us a way to understand patterns, to qualify
relationships and to predict the future, mathematics is a powerful tool for global understanding
and communication and by that us, students can make sense and solve complex and real
problems.

Lastly, Mathematics is tool in everything especially in science, it is a useful tool on science due
to the fact that sciences could make few advances with the help of mathematics, also
mathematics is a tool in daily problem solving because the importance of problem solving in
learning mathematics comes from the belief that the mathematics is primarily about reasoning,
not memorization and problem solving allows every individuals to develop understanding and to
have solutions rather than remembering and applying a set of procedures.
 Mathematics is also a tool in terms of pattern due to the fact that mathematics helps us
recognize that there are a large percentage of different kinds of patterns in our surroundings
and it helps us to appreciate the beauty in our surrounding by this patterns.

Mathematics is everywhere right? There is math on nature and everywhere in the universe even
on outer space there’s probably math. In our lives, in our daily routine math is still there, as we
woke up in the morning especially when the alarm wakes us up we already see math there
because what we see is the time and that was numbers, when we get up and prepare our
breakfast we are about to decide how many eggs we should cook that is also math because we
are talking about ‘how many’.

In every aspects in our lives there is math, the way we woke up, we eat, we go out, and we go
to work surely math is always there, whenever you see your surroundings there is math
because what you see is patterns, when you check on the weather if it will rain or shine on this
day that’s probability and probability is part of mathematics, when you cook or bake you will
probably use math because of measurements and fractions for the ingredients, the moment
that you are done cooking or baking you will divide it for the family members and that was also
math, when you are budgeting and tracking your expenses on your daily living you uses math,
also when you go shopping and buying your needs and wants you are also using math because
of money, and whenever you see buildings and infrastructures outside that is geometry, also
that is part of mathematics.

As a matter of fact mathematics is really important in our daily lives to survive every single day.
Without mathematics in our lives every day, our day to day living would be useless. In order to
live a meaningful life we really need mathematics due to the fact that a large percentage in our
daily living or daily routine is all about math. Mathematics helps us organize in whatever we do
in life, without it we probably have a messy and chaotic life due to the fact that mathematics is
embedded in our lives, as I said earlier from the moment we woke up what we see first is the
numbers, the time, and that was math. Do you ever imagine your life without math? I guess
the moment you imagine now it will make you realize how really important the math is.
