a. OTHER
As a determiner (+ uncountable or plural N):
 - Some music calms people; other music has the opposite effect. (different
types of music)

Twist’? (additional or extra books)
As a pronoun (“other” or “others”):
- We have to solve this problem, more than any other, today.

b. THE OTHER
As a determiner:
+ Singular noun means the second of two things, people, etc.
- This computer here is new. The other computer is about five years old.
- The gift shop is on the other side of the street, directly opposite.
+ Plural noun means the remaining of a group of 3 or more:
- Joel and Karen are here, but where are the other kids?
As a pronoun: (The other/the others)

c. ANOTHER
As a determiner (+ singular noun)
