3. In the Republic Act No. 1425, what provision/s would you like to
change? Why?
ANSWER:

In the Republic Act No. 1425, for me there no provision/s that need to
be change. I am in favor in that Republic Act that private and public
schools, colleges and universities courses should include works and
writing of Jose Rizal. Because Jose Rizal writings and work are deserved
to be include in our school works and if we continued to learn it will
never be going to be forgotten and it will be still patronizing even through
many years had passed.

4. Among the issues on the proclamation of Rizal as national hero, discuss

one issue that you think has a valid reason.
ANSWER:

He was regarded as an “American-made hero”.

I read the article from Philippine reporter, this issue I think has a
valid reason where it states that although Rizal was already a revered
figure and became more so after his martyrdom, it cannot be denied that
his pre-eminence among heroes was partly a result of American
sponsorship. There are two forms of sponsorship: on one hand that of
encouraging a Rizal cult, on the other, that of minimizing the importance
of the other heroes or even of vilifying them. There’s no question that
Rizal had the quality of goodness, his patriotism cannot be denied, being
a martyr to oppression, obscurantism and bigotry.
