Late Senator Jose Laurel once said that we need to study the
life, works, and writings of Rizal to widen our education since
Jose Rizal was a great hero in our Philippine History. Senator
Jose Laurel sponsored the law and he believed that it is
significant to study Jose Rizal's life because of his contribution
to the Philippines' freedom. Moreover, he chose knowledge
and the power of letters to fight for his country. Lastly, I know
for sure that he became aware of his countrymen's continuous
suffering at the hands of the Spaniards and sought to put an
end to it so we students must always remember him.
What is the legal basis for the teaching of the life , works

country? The legal basis for the teaching of life works, and writing of Rizal in
our country is the Republic Act. No. 1425 which stated AN ACT TO

WORKS AND WRITINGS OF JOSE RIZAL, PARTICULARLY HIS NOVELS

The teaching of Rizal is still relevant today since it
is important and meant to become more aware of
the ideas that our country was founded on by
studying the lives of Jose Rizal. His ideas are
relevant today since the contributions he makes
to our country are priceless and we must learn it
not only to be inspired by his effort but also to
pay honor to him for dedicating his life to save
our country and obtain our character.
Why was Rizal a hero despite his being a
man of peace and not a man of war?
We all know that Jose Rizal became a national hero of the Philippines
because he battled for freedom in a quiet but powerful manner and
was not a man of war that leads to the death of many people.
Through this, we Filipinos considered him as a man of peace since his
mission is to bring out a wave of peace and contentment in our
country. In addition, Dr. Jose Rizal did not want a war since it will lead
to more squabbles and misunderstandings so his proper way is to
think and bring peace that will result in happiness and to clear out as
much as war as possible to avoid more grief.
