Lastly, I know for sure that he became aware of his countrymen's continuous suffering at the hands of the Spaniards and sought to put an end to it so we students must always remember him. No. 1425 which stated AN ACT TO INCLUDE IN THE CURRICULA OF ALL PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS, COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES COURSES ON THE LIFE, WORKS AND WRITINGS OF JOSE RIZAL, PARTICULARLY HIS NOVELS NOLI ME TANGERE AND EL FILIBUSTERISMO, AUTHORIZING THE PRINTING AND DISTRIBUTION THEREOF, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. Lastly, the objective of this is to rededicate the lives of our youth to the values of freedom and nationalism for which our heroes fought and died and to pay honor for dedicating his life and works as well. We all know that Jose Rizal became a national hero of the Philippines because he battled for freedom in a quiet but powerful manner and was not a man of war that leads to the death of many people.
