Who are the Aetas?

The Aetas, pronounced as “eye-tas” is a group of indigeneous people that

are the first ones to inhabit the Philippines proceeding the Austreonesian
Migration. There are 48,000 Aetas that live in isolated mountains
throughout Luzon, Philippines separately. Aeta was included in groups
called “Negritos” during the Spanish Era here in the Philippines. Aeta also
known as “Pugot” or “Pugot”. They are known for being skilled Hunters
and Gatherers jungle survival skills and making use of plants as medicines.
