PROFILE OF MR.

K S NARAHARI

K S Narahari is currently the Communications Director for Texas Instruments, the second largest
semiconductor company in the world. In this role, he leads a team of professionals that manages Internal
and External Communications, Advertising, Internet Marketing and Corporate Events for Texas
Instruments in India.  

 Prior to joining Texas Instruments, Narahari was the Director, Corporate Communications at Dell. In that
role, Narahari led a country-wide team of communications managers who were responsible for internal
and external communications, corporate events and corporate social responsibility.  

 Prior to Dell, he was the Communications Manager, Systems Group at IBM ASEAN/South Asia, where
he spearheaded communications for IBM servers and storage systems across all the countries in South
East Asia, India and Sri Lanka. Before he took up this role, he served as the Country Manager, Corporate
Communications for IBM India with country-wide responsibility for internal and external
communications, corporate events and corporate social responsibility. He set up the Communications
department at IBM in India.

 Before joining IBM, he was the Corporate Communications Manager at Wipro Limited. In that capacity,
he was responsible for media relations for all groups of Wipro Corporation including Wipro Infotech,
Wipro Fluid Power, Wipro GE Medical Systems and Wipro Consumer Products. He was the first
Communications Manager for Wipro.

 In his career spanning over 30 years, he has also held marketing and communications positions at HMT
International, HMT Watch Marketing, Glaxo SmithKline Pharmaceuticals and International Instruments.
At HMT, he led teams that launched many variants like Elegance, Pace and Zap watches.

 Narahari was named “Communications Person of the Peninsula” by the Public Relations Society of India
for the year 1994 – 1995. He has also served as the Wipro delegate on GE’s Medical Systems Asia
Communications Board. In year 2000, he was awarded the prestigious IBM Bronze Medal for drafting the
Y2K manual for IBM’s ASEAN/South Asia region. He was inducted to the prestigious PRCI “Hall of
Fame” by the Public Relations Council of India for outstanding contribution to the profession over a
significant number of years on March 17th, 2011.

 Narahari is an honorary member on the Advisory Boards of M S Ramaiah Institute of Management,


Ramaiah Institute of Management Studies and CMR Institute of Management.

 He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and a Master’s Degree in Mass Communication.
