    SCOPE AND LIMITATION OF THE STUDY

    The study focused on identifying the food choices, preferences and dietary intake of

    families in consideration to their monthly budget allowances. Respondents were from selected

    families of Brgy. Santol, Quezon City, which consists of 5-10 members and who belongs to the

    lower socioeconomic stratum.

    This study is limited to the 87 selected families who have an income range of up to Php

    20,962 per month to betterly assess and test the hypotheses. But because some of the participants

    were not available for the interview, respondents were reduced to 83 households.

    Some of the respondents from the families were laid-off from work due to the ongoing

    pandemic. The main purpose of the survey was to gather information about nutritional intake and

    management among households of lower socioeconomic class. Data gathered were from march

    1,3, and 4, 2021, using survey questionnaires.
