Activity 2
The matter of human rights in Pakistan has always been a delicate matter, disrupted frequently due to
high population, religious diversity, illiteracy, and gender biasness. Because of this, at many times
people; especially women and children, are deprived of their rights.

Children, being delicate and naïve are usually the ones who do not know of their rights, and thus face
many hardships because of this. We can see this going on around us everywhere; children being used as
maids and servants, children working in mechanic workshops or as servers. These children instead of
receiving education, are being forced to support their families. These children generally live a very
unsanitary lifestyle, and do not have the basic necessities of life. They don’t have houses, clothes, clean
water, they’re food is often spoiled, since they can’t afford proper medical aid, they usually die of
diseases that they catch from not having these basic needs.

As Pakistan citizens, it’s our responsibility to help these children in every way we can. We can help
improve their situation by spreading awareness. Awareness is important, because not only will these
children learn about their rights, but other people too can learn about the hardships these children face
and help them. Other than that, we can donate money to NGO’s working to help these children, and
volunteer at such places to uplift these children. On a smaller scale, we can donate clothes, books and
such to these children. We can help feed these children or pay for their hospital visits.

Belonging to the same country, it is important for us to never look downon them, or hesitate to help
them, because in the end we are all humans and it’s important for us to help eachother at time of need.
