 The documentary, “Reforestation in the Philippines | Global 3000” was created by DW News, a German public
broadcast service. While, GMA Public Affairs created the “Philippine Seas” that was specifically documented
by Atom Araullo.
 Yes, both documentaries showed connection to our topic about Biomes, because these videos showcased
the aquatic/marine and land biomes.

 The main idea of these two documentary videos was to show the riches and beauty of the biodiversity in the
Philippines and it also showed the problems faced and how human activities affects the aquatic and land
biomes.
4. Why did the authors create these documentary videos?
 The purpose of the creators to create these videos is to be an eye opener raising awareness about the
negative effect of human activities that might end and destroy our environment, as well as to influence and
encourage us people to help protect and conserve our rich, diverse and beautiful nature.

 The authors use well-defined title that matches the content of the videos. They also showed a clear
exposition, introducing and stating the idea and topic of the documentary with the use of catchy and easily
understandable quotations and words about Philippine’s biodiversity. Both videos began by showing
wonderful view of the biomes and its biotic elements living in it, and as the video continues, they addressed
the problems faced by our nature, the ever-growing destruction of nature derived from humans’ destructive
activities which is the main idea that the authors wished to convey to its viewers.
