CONFERENCE AIM AND SCOPE

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues and does not ease, PAWEES 2021 is decided to
be hosted as a fully virtual online meeting. We hope this year could be a different but
meaningful and interactive experience for all attendees. Although in a different format,
PAWEES 2021 remains aiming to provide an interactive platform to international
researchers and practitioners working on paddy system and relevant fields, to present
and share novel advances, research findings, perspectives, and experience and help the
international community solve emerging food and water issues.

CONFERENCE THEME
Theme：Innovative Technologies for Agricultural Water Sustainability
General session:
Topic 1: Water-Energy-Food Nexus
Topic 2: Smart Irrigation Quantity and Quality Technologies
Topic 3: Irrigation Management in Water Shortage and Climate Change
Topic 4: Water Saving Irrigation and Irrigation Service Extension

PRESENTATIONS
Oral presentation
The virtual platform for PAWEES 2021 will be announced later. Time allotment for each
oral presentation is expected to be 15 minutes, including 12 minutes for presentation and
3 minutes for Q & A.

LANGUAGE
The official language of the conference will be English. All abstracts and posters should be
submitted in English.
