BIBLE FELLOWSHIP

I – DEFINITION: Spiritual Join Partnership and Sharing (Mat 18:20)

II – PRINCIPLES:

-With the Father and the Son – (1John 1:3) (1Cor 1:9)
-With the Holy Spirit – (2Cor 13:13) (Phi 2:1)
-With Fellow Believers – (1John 1:6-7)
-Fellowship is conditional upon our walking in the Light – Walking in obedience
to the will of God
-Seek first the fellowship with the Father and the Son, then with His other
Sons and Daughters
-It is not a passive thing – it is not just attending a meeting
-It is a Give and Take process–it is when we contribute something
to the assembly–(Rom 12:4-8)

III – PURPOSE: ASSEMBLE TOGETHER TO:

-Learn the Word of God


-Pray, Praise, Worship and Break Bread
-Encourage one another to Love and do Good Deeds
-(Acts 2:42) (Heb 10:24-25)

IV – FORBIDDEN FELLOWSHIPS:

-With Evil Doers –Witch Doctors, Spirit Mediums (1 Cor. 10:20-22)


-With Works of Darkness – Ungodly Organizations (Eph 5:11-12)
-With Sinners – (1Cor 5:11) (2Cor 6:14-18) (Psalm 26:4-5)
-With Unbelievers – (Rom 16:17) (2 Thes 3:14)

V – BENEFITS: WE LEARN:

-To Become Obedient to God – (1John 1:7)


-To Become Obedient to Authority – (Rom 13:1-4)
-To Live By the Spirit – (Gal 5:16-17)
-To Love and Serve one another – (Gal 5:13-15)
-To Live at Peace – (Rom 12:18)
-To Share our Joys and Sorrows with One another – (Rom 12:15)
-To gain deeper knowledge about God and His Son, Jesus Christ –
(2Peter 3:18), (2Peter 3:15-1)
HOLY COMMUNION

I – DEFINITION: Breaking of Bread – Instituted by Jesus Himself – (MAT 26:26-30)

II – PARAMETERS:

-It was conducted in the Evening – (Mat 26:20)


-The Bread was unleavened – (Mat 26:17)(1Cor 5:8)
-One loap of bread and one cup was used (Mat 26:26-27), (1 Cor. 10:17)
-They were reclining (sitting) (John 13:23, 28)
-While they were eating (Mat. 26:26) (Luke 22:14-15)

III- REASON FOR US TO DO THE SAME:

-In obedience to the command of Jesus (Luke 22:19) (1Cor. 11:24-25)


-To proclaim the meaning of the death sacrifice of Jesus: His bloodshed for
the forgiveness of sins. His body suffered to take our punishments (1 Cor.
11:26)
-To anticipate Jesus return (Luke 22:16, 18) This suffer will be re-enacted
in heaven with those who obeyed Jesus (Rev. 19:7-9)

lV- IMPROPER ACTION AFTER PARTAKING OF THE HOLY COMMUNION:

-The disciples went out, denied, and forsook Jesus after the first communion
-Today, some go to market, to the cockpits of gambling tables
-We ought to advance in our Christian lives to a place of daily victory

V- SELF EXAMINATION IS ESSENTIAL BEFORE PARTICIPATING IN THE BREAKING


OF THE BREAD:

-Is Jesus in you? (2 Cor. 13:5) (Acts 16:31)


-Do you practice idolatry? (1 Cor. 10:14-15, 21-22)
