1. What type of challenges did you face during research?

-Typically, it was hard to examine peoples minds and make them be opened while conducting
interview, the topic of my thesis expected to be less emotional and more skeptical. For
example, there were some issues that demands to make interlocutor to feel themselves in
friendly, but in the same time restricted with interview frame. As far I know for good
journalistic work we should avoid any topic related to the religious, political controversies
that can provoke non-polite discussion.

-The point of gender roles and conservative stereotypes, behavior, perception of population
was taken into consideration as well. I have mentioned a common understanding of traditional
behavior in pandemia period in my country, in case of comparing. For example, I would like
to demonstrate comparing between reaction on virus from Poland and Ukraine. Poland is
characterized by solving problem effectively and gradually in order to predict sharped issue
by specific measurements. While Ukraine is motivated by total non-acceptance of situation
that means a big part of population think about expanding virus like an attempt to reduce
population on purpose and rely mainly on conservative rules.

- There were existed a plenty of social factors that contribute for challenges in type of
generations. Student youth respond extremely quickly to the economic, political and cultural
transformations taking place in society. So, it's necessary to find out how the coronavirus
epidemic affected this social category. In this category were conducted several questions that
suits more for students environment. During this course of research there were some
challenges, for example, students were asked how was they prepared for distance learning and
what was their impression on the level of adequate perception. I was curious why there were a
lot of challenges for students in this specific time, and why so a big percent of them are
mostly not interested in what’s going on. That was the most challenged in terms of passive
attitude.

- Focus groups are a well-known type of interviewing format that, by definition, includes
more than one interviewee for interview. I insist on distinguishing focus groups from a more
category kind of group interview depends on ages, occupation, social position that does not
hold to the specific format and aims of the focus group but, nevertheless, contains more than
one interviewee.
-Judging from interviewing women is worth to mention that each of them are aware of the
significant role of explaining the situation in world from their own perspectives and to prove
their power in informational space.

- Traditional gender stereotypes in family. Here, I would like to explain what I have
discovered while conducting interview with specific participants and the sense of gathered
material. Firstly, The interview was conducted with traditional methodology and prepared
questions with the following criteria. Methodology of interview is divided on 2 stages:

 Preamble of interview(Introduction). The strategic task is accomplished by making a

contact between journalists and interlocutor in order to achieve a common point of
interests. In the first part of conversation have to be avoided mostly all kind of frames
of communication, but with usage of «smart» pause and it should not be prolonged. In
order to obtain the most convenience contact of both people must be formed well-
natured atmosphere. The object of topic should not be related to the most provocative
questions, for example, about political situations, profits, and religious preference.

 During the exceptional situation, the interviewer needs to forget himself as a typical
citizen and demonstrate unconditional acceptance and warmth towards the opinions
and sentiments expressed by the respondent. While conducting interview were
choosen participants in age of 30-32 with native population of Ukraine and identified
as an ordinary citizens with traditional family occupation, but with specific
professional activity. So, in course of interview there were existed the stereotype "a
man manages at work, a woman - at home" is partially preserved. Earning money in a
couple, according to two-thirds, is a male-dominated field. 20% said that they both
earn the same in their pair. 13% said that a woman earns more as well. The
coronavirus epidemic has significantly increased the time families with children spend
raising and cooking. This is especially often mentioned by women: 42% said they
started spending more time raising children, 34% - on cooking. Children are more
often at home, often studying online, so household chores need more time - and this is
"women's work", which before the pandemic was divided into two shifts (during the
day - work, in the evening - home). During quarantine, these two "changes" mixed and
caused an increase in stress.
