F.Y 2022-20223

Introduction:Teenagers in today's generation are subjected to a great deal of pressure

from our culture, which has an influence on their development. Because of cultural
beauty standards, we are likely to lead to being influenced by what we read or see
online. This drives individuals to want a sense of belonging and to be afraid of being
rejected by society if they do not achieve their expectations. Body shaming is so
common today that many teens are physically active and think that being obese is
unattractive.

Background of the Study:

Societal pressure has been researched in a variety of domains, including sociology,
psychology, and anthropology. Sociologists have investigated how social institutions
and cultural values influence individual behavior and decision-making. They looked
at the function of socialization, the transmission of social norms and expectations, and
how socioeconomic disparity might produce differing levels of pressure and
expectation.

Psychologists have investigated the effects of societal pressure on people's mental

health and well-being. They studied the link between societal pressure and self-
esteem, anxiety, and depression, as well as the coping mechanisms that people
employ to deal with these pressures. They've also looked into how cultural pressure
influences identity formation and self-concept.

Anthropologists have studied how societal pressure differs between cultures and
societies. They have investigated how cultural norms and values impact people's
beliefs and actions, as well as how these forces might alter people's feeling of
belonging and identity.

Generally, societal pressure study emphasizes the intricate relationships between

people and their social environment, as well as the ways in which society norms and
expectations may impact individuals' ideas, attitudes, and behaviors.
