Abstract:
This qualitative research proposal aims to explore the intricate relationship between
social media engagement and mental health among adolescents. Through in-depth interviews
and thematic analysis, this study seeks to understand the subjective experiences, perceptions,
and coping strategies related to social media use and its effects on mental well-being. The
objectives include delving into adolescents' motivations for using social media, uncovering the
emotional and psychological consequences of online interactions, and identifying resilience
factors in the face of potential negative impacts. The expected outcomes include rich, nuanced
insights that can inform holistic approaches to supporting adolescents' mental health in the
digital age.
