1 Time Implication
1.1 Work Load Comparison
The project duration given for Jinka-Mendir project which is a 49km long road is 2 years. In direct
proportion, the duration for the 6km (2*3km)JinkaTown project would be approximately 3 months.
Considering the project value, based on a contract amount of ETB 1,214,208,380.51 for Jinka-Mendir
project, the Jinka Town section with a contract amount of ETB 121,870,140.87 shall take approximately
2.4 months.

However, as can be seen from the following work load comparison; rather than earth works which are
machine intensive, the structure works are the major work items for the Jinka Town section. Basically,
structure works like masonry, formwork, rebar, curbing, ditch cover and walkway tile works are labor
intensive which require longer duration for completion.
