Total risk score: ≤25 = low, 26 - 50 = medium, 51 - 75 = high, >75 = very high

Sum risk exposure columns to

show total project risk scores.
Option: show low, medium,
high, or very high in last cell.
Nominal risk technique scoring table

Column description:

Project: The project name.

Risk class: This can be “overall project” or a specific risk class such as a business objective.

Risk ID number: The risk identification number defined during risk identification and used during risk analysis.

Risk title or description: The title of the risk event from the risk analysis step, or a brief unique risk event description.

Initial probability: The probability of the risk event occurring from the risk analysis step.

Post-response probability: The new risk event probability after taking actions defined during the risk response step.
If no actions are taken or are to be taken, then this is the same as the initial probability.

Initial impact: The impact of the risk event occurring from the risk analysis step.

Initial risk exposure: The product of the initial probability and initial impact (P x I).

Post-response risk exposure: The product of the post-response probability and post-response impact (P x I).

Rank: The priority of the risk from the risk analysis step.

Total project risk score: The sum of the risk exposure column above it. Comparing the two column sums shows how risk
exposure is expected to change by implementing the risk response actions. The last cell can be used to
show the overall project risk exposure.
