Introduction:

Recently Service Fund has floated a request for proposal for converting Service Fund’s Mainframe
process (Batch) and web screens.

The response to this proposal from various vendors have been evaluated. There are many technical
intricacies of these proposals which play very important role in successful implementation of the
solution. This makes it very necessary for Service Fund team to look into the core capabilities of
implementation partners.

Purpose:
Service Fund team is planning to evaluate implementation partners on various capabilities to implement
Service Fund Cloud migration solution by floating a work of POC (Proof Of Concept). For this work of
POC, SF team is proposing to migrate legacy claim expensing module RE621 to cloud based solution. In
the following section, we will introduce you with details around RE621.

Legacy Claim Expensing RE621:

RE621 is a claim expensing program which was developed back in 1989 and since then many
enhancements were implemented in it to suit business needs. This program runs in 52 cyclic jobs (26
HMO and 26 PPO). Each job has its own claim file information from various markets. RE621 also takes in
the information from many other input files. It also taps some tables from Service Fund DB2 database

For RE621 cloud Migration POC:

- Service Fund Team has decided to request a POC for migrating RE621 to cloud for Cycle 25.
- Program source and JCL source will be provided in txt file.
- Various input files/information needed for RE621 will be provided in form of text file. E.g.
DATEFIL/RELGRDAT/ASSCTRT/PRDCTFIL/RIFCTRCT/REICDFL /REXPCLMB /RULBASEX/RERDTL
/RERSCH/RERIF
- DB2 tables referred by this program will also be provided in the form of text file
- Space will be made available on the Azure Cloud
 - Legacy output files will be available for performing any comparison with the output created by
cloud solution
