PRELIMINARY WORK:

1. The circuit in Figure 1 represents the schematic in Figure 3.

a) Find the 3 mistakes on the circuit and correct them.
b) Write the circuit elements' names and add the missing element on the breadboard.

Figure 1: The circuit in the Part-1

c) Construct the circuit in the Figure 4 onto the breadboard given in the Figure 2.

Figure 2: The circuit in the Part-2

 In the following stages, use the β, VBE(on) parameters from the datasheet of the BC238A.
β = ____ (average) VBE(on) = ____ V (typical)

Construct the same circuit using PSpice and compare the results with your calculations. Add the
input and output voltage graphs, which belong to the highest output voltage oscillations without
any distortion.

Construct the circuit on PSpice, check the result with Table 4 and add the input and output voltage
graphs to your preliminary work. According to your analytical solution, explain that is it possible to
double the gain?

(Extra point) To maximize the highest voltage oscillation, what are the most important parameters on
the circuit? Do simulations by changing resistor values and add your observations to your preliminary
work such as optimum voltages, limits etc. (Hint: Watch the VCEQ and Vce voltage carefully.)
